PreP, PEP, DoxyPEP prevention of HIV and Sexually Trasnmitted Infections
PrEP: Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis. the use of anti-HIV medication that keeps HIV negative people from becoming infected. PrEP is approved by the FDA and has been shown to be safe and 99% effective.
A single pill (Truvada/Descovy) taken once daily, or injectable Apretude /Cabotegravir every other month are highly effective against HIV, and are prescribed and administered on site.
PEP means post-exposure prophylaxis
DoxyPeP is the use of antibiotic to prevent infections such as Syphilis, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.
